KBL Saarang is a resort-style wedding venue in Anjanapura, on the Kanakapura Road side of South Bangalore. It is one of the venues couples search for most, and one where the numbers online do not always agree. This guide pulls together what public listings say about price, capacity, rooms and rules, flags where they disagree, and gives you a checklist to take to the venue. Treat every figure as something to confirm in writing for your date.

Where it is and what it is like

Listings give the address as 5/9, Vajramuni Main Road, Anjanapura Village, Anjanapura Township, Bengaluru. It is a landscaped property with a mix of indoor halls, an outdoor lawn, a poolside space and on-site rooms, which is why couples consider it for a full wedding weekend rather than a single-day hall booking. It is outside the city centre, so plan travel time for guests coming from North and East Bangalore.

Spaces and capacity

This is where listings differ most, so here is what each says.

  • Main hall: one listing (citing the venue's site) gives the Vivah hall as about 10,500 sq ft, air-conditioned, with 700 seated and 2,000+ floating. Another lists a "destination wedding hall" at 800 seated and 2,000 floating.
  • Dining floors: two air-conditioned dining floors (Milan 1 and 2), about 14,000 sq ft, 500+ seated.
  • Open lawn: about 400 seated and 800 floating on one listing.
  • Poolside: roughly 150 floating, suited to a cocktail evening or a small ceremony.
  • Banquet and lawn: 100 seated and 200 floating, for smaller functions.

Two other listings simply show one event area with 1,000 seated and 2,500 floating. That is likely the venue's overall figure, not one room. Ask which space your ceremony, lunch and reception would each use, and what that space holds with your actual setup (stage, mandap, buffet counters, seating style).

What does it cost?

Be careful here, because the published numbers do not match.

  • Two listings show a rental of about Rs 5,00,000 per day on a time-based model, with no per-plate price.
  • Another shows a starting price of Rs 11,00,000 plus taxes.
  • One source says the venue publishes no rental or per-plate figure, and that in-house decor starts at Rs 5,00,000.

These may refer to different spaces, seasons, or what is included. Do not budget from any single listing. Ask for a written quote that separates venue rental, rooms, in-house decor, food and taxes. If you are building your overall budget, our wedding budget calculator helps you see how a venue fee fits with food, decor and everything else.

Guest rooms

Listings mention 22 or 24 rooms, with one saying 19 are air-conditioned and another describing 22 villas plus 2 green rooms. One listing gives Rs 8,500 per room. For a wedding with many outstation guests, ask for the exact count on your dates, the room rate, check-in and check-out times, and whether a bridal room is included.

House rules to check early

  • Decor: most listings say outside decorators are not allowed and decor is in-house, though one notes mixed wording on the venue's own page. If you have a decorator or a design in mind, ask this first.
  • Catering: sources conflict. Some say panel caterers only, one says outside food is allowed subject to approval, and the veg or non-veg offering is described differently. Get the menu options and any outside-caterer fee in writing.
  • DJ: outside DJs are listed as allowed.
  • Alcohol: listed as no in-house alcohol and no outside alcohol.
  • Timings and curfew: not stated in any listing. Ask for the music cut-off and the latest end time.
  • Payment and cancellation: two listings mention 50% on booking and 50% on the event date, with bookings non-refundable.

Parking and getting there

Listings mention on-site parking, with one giving 250 cars and valet service and another simply saying "sufficient". For a large guest list, ask how many cars fit, whether guests can be shuttled, and how traffic on Kanakapura Road is usually managed on weekends.

Questions to ask before you book

  1. Which spaces are included for each function, and what is the seated and floating capacity of each with my setup?
  2. What is the total quote, line by line, including taxes, rooms, decor, food and any extra hours?
  3. Is the decor minimum fixed, and can I add my own elements or lighting?
  4. Which caterers are allowed, and is there a charge for outside food?
  5. What are the music and end-time rules, and who handles the permissions?
  6. How many rooms are available on my dates, and at what rate?
  7. What is the payment schedule and the cancellation policy, exactly as written in the contract?
  8. Is there a rain plan for the lawn and poolside events?

Is it right for your wedding?

KBL Saarang suits couples who want a resort feel, space for stay-over guests, and who are comfortable with in-house decor and a venue-managed setup. It is less suited if you want full control over your decorator and caterer, or need a central location. If you are still comparing, browse our resort venues or search all Bangalore venues by area and guest count.
